Forgive me?

Wednesday, August 25, 2010

I'm here, I'm here, I'm so sorry! What a naughty blogger I have been!

The Launch!

Well the launch was a huge success! I have had a lot of interest and orders come from it and it was just nice to meet new people and get a true feel for what people thought of my Cupkates.

The absolute star of the afternoon was my Chocolate Salted Caramel flavour. EVERYONE came up to me and told me how much they loved it and that's not an exaggeration :o) I had such a lovely time and I really appreciate everyone who came and taste tested for me.

I will have some photo's to share with you ASAP, promise!

I do however have some birthday Cupkates photos to share.

These where made for my friend Joanne, who's Mum contacted me and ordered some surprise cuppies. They where vanilla with vanilla American buttercream. I was able to use my new gerbera cutters and i love how they turned out.

Last piece of business - Daffodil day! If you are in the Cairns area hop down to the Red Beret Hotel and enjoy a coffee and Cupkate for $5 whilst also supporting the cancer council. There will be chocolate Salted Caramel, Lemon, Sticky Date and a new flavour Malteser.

Happy caking,

Madison's 1st Birthday

Monday, June 28, 2010

Today is my hubby's cousins daughter Madison's 1st birthday, what a mouth full!

She had a beautiful little party and of course there where cupcakes, pretty pink girly cupcakes.

I really enjoyed making these, especially the little princess crowns.

We had gluten and dairy free cuppies with orange buttercream and apple spice and vanilla cuppies with vanilla buttercream.

Whoa and I have a full on weekend ahead of me, I am going to be spending the rest of this week making toppers and writing lists to make sure I am extra organised. Stay tuned tomorrow for Tuesdays Tip!

Happy caking,

Happy Birthday Blayke!

Friday, April 30, 2010

Yesterday was my nephew Blaykes 8th Birthday. I remember the day he was born, going up to the hospital and meeting him for the first time...and now he is 8! And being 8 he is interested in all sorts of things I have no idea about, things like DragonballZ.

So I did my research...I googled "DragonballZ", hmmm what on earth can I do! Then I notice the actual balls where yellow with red stars, easy! I also wanted to make them a little more personalised so made some "B" for Blayke....although Blayke thought it was B for ball.

We had a great time celebrating and enjoying yummy cupcakes. I even had a mother from another party come up to me and ask where I got the cupcakes from I was very chuffed and replied "I made them!" If only I had a business card to pass on :o)

Oh and they where chocolate with vanilla American buttercream, as requested!

I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend, stay tuned for more cupckates tomorrow! :o)

(Sorry about the photo's we where in such a rush this morning I forgot to take some before we left home)

Happy caking,
